Moth, Caterpillar or something else?

Hi

I'm hoping someone could help identify this chrysalis?

I have an insect app which identifies it as a swallow bush tail butterfly. However, the appearance doesn't look like it?

I only have a small town garden and the leaf is from a rhodedendron.

I have various plants which attract moths so my guess would be some sort of moth?

Many Thanks

This is a useful site for ID ing all sorts of wildlife. Failing that, @wild edges or @Alan Clark2 in Liverpool might be able to help if they're around

How long is it? My total guess would be some kind of Tortrix moth but several others make a nest in a leaf like that. There are a few Tortrix moths that like Rhododendron though so they'd be prime suspect.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

A wistful tortrix, a depressed tortrix, a slightly bilious tortrix?
