Just a word of warning if you're thinking of growing Quaking grass @Gwenr, in my garden it self seeds prolifically and can be a pain. Easy enough to pull out but it has a habit of getting into the most awkward places.

I'd been thinking about dipping my toe into grasses (as it were) but was always concerned about them self seeding everywhere (our shingle drive always has grass popping up in it). Rattle grass was one I fancied - but maybe not....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
