Ah I understand. I wish you luck but I think your chillies will struggle.

Thanks, i will not let them die. i struggled in the start to get em to grow due to overwatering and other newbie failures so if the tent will just make it worse il rather use a heater in the room instead of the tent.

but il give it couple more days now after ive done some changes to see if it gets better, the tent was more of a cheaper solution to save money from not needing to heat up the entire room during winter time even tho the room aint that big.

For a small area you could always use a little tubular heater - some are only 30cm long

That's the exact one i have inside the tent. you can see the green tube on a wooden plank inside the bottom of the tent behind the plants on second picture.

You think it would be better to place that outside the tent?

and a bit offtopic question, you think my basil plants would do it better in the tent instead of the chili plants, maybe switch places with them the tent was expensive so would be nice to get it used as returning it probably wont work.

Just adjust the thermostat to 20c so the tent won't fall below that temperature.

I've never grown anything in a tent so not sure what's best to put where..

Thanks i will do that. will have to buy an thermostat then, right now the heater goes as hot as it can become which is around 28-32C is the heat ive reached so far. i was always thinking the warmer the chili gets the faster it will grow.

  • 28-32C is a bit too hot;  22-26C is best for optimum growth of capsicums.  Outside that range, growth slows considerably.

Thanks, happy i found this forum. learned alot of differently since i started 1.5 year ago now. guess il just remove the heater from the tent for now then and get myself a thermostat so i can control the heat better and keep it at 22-26C
