White blobs on my terracotta pot. What is it?

    Nearly all my salad veg is grown in sealed or varnished terracotta pots. There's absolutely nothing to worry about  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Oh the many happy hours I have spent making terracotta pots look good for Alpine shows.
    Should have glazed them I suppose. Find out when I have stopped showing. Typical.

    I have some small ones for various bits and bobs @Palustris. I should really do those. They snap with monotonous regularity in winter!
