  • The costs of the yews were around £500 so it would be a bargain sending them to Wales for £50…..I think I’ll try and convince her to keep them based on all this amazing advice….

    That’s incredible yew clippings can be used against breast cancer…….I learn so much on this forum!!!

    I'm sure this can all be smoothed over in time with a jar of yewberry jam (it is only the seeds that are problematic)

    @Paul Anderson - I hope you can see from the responses you've had that there's nothing to worry about.  :)
    My response to anyone that gets uptight about plants is to say that children are probably at more risk from what's in the kitchen cupboards than in the garden. Having had a fair bit of experience of vets, I can honestly say I don't remember any of them mentioning hordes of dying pets that have been eating yew either.  ;)


    Better tell them all to stay away from those daffodil bulbs too  ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Best take them daffodils out seen as there poisonous aswell.  ;) don't want anyone eatting them
