Container rose recommendations please

Could anyone recommend a rose or two that would be genuinely happy rather than just tolerate living in a container? Not a climber.
I'd prefer that it wasn't pink.I

    Hi. Absolutely Fabulous, Easy Does It and Ebb Tide are doing really well for me. It is in its first year but Desdemona is also looking promising.

    The more massive the container you can offer, the happier the rose will be.

    Absolutely Fabulous (Julia Child) gets really cracking reviews.

    That's a lovely rose @fire but I already have a large and ancient Arthur Bell on the patio.  I'm not sure about getting another yellow rose.

    I'm getting this rose, after having seen its glorious blooms at a friend's place who grows them in pots. I particularly like how the stamens stand out prominently.

    Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
    And then my heart with pleasure fills,
    And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

    Well the new blooms have a hint of pink then age to white, but Marie Pavie was my rose of the year. New, but established fast, healthy foliage, subtle but wafty scent, covered in blooms all summer and still going. I have two in pots either side of my front door and they seem happy and undemanding:


    Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

    White with a hint of pink seems to be the way to go
