What is it? Should it stay or go

Heuchera, it should stay.  They eventually push themselves up further and further out of the ground.  I dig mine up every other year and rebury them more deeply, and I also divide any large clumps, to reinvigorate them.

I like them, you can just break off a bit off,   that bit in the top left hand corner back to main plant so it’s got a chunk of root,  and push it right down to the leaves in a pot of compost and put some where sheltered for the winter. You’ll have lots of plants then.

It depends whether you like it or not  :)
They do push themselves up and out, but you just replant them deeper, as said. Very easy to propagate, but watch for vine weevils if they're in pots.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thankyou, I will replant deeper and see the overall look next year. ☺️

I like them - took a chunk of one from my sister's garden this year whilst splitting hers and re-planting around her borders. It's done really well in a pot ready for a permanent spot next year.

It's got a nice, deep purple foliage to contrast with the attention grabbers that my sis has growing alongside it :D

Same here NB! Bought yet another one yesterday which I couldn't resist as it was such a beautiful colour and one I didn't already have named Mulberry.  :)
