  Not all plants flower when they are young.
  Many do not flower in the first year.
  OR
  maybe you missed a flower.
  in your pic is a touch of orange...a dead petal maybe????

  Thanks very much. Some flowers here are out at different times to the UK. My friend’s hibiscus is covered in seed heads (and ‘gendarmes.’) 😊

  I recognise those beetles...Pyrrhocoris apterus....common name firebugs

  Photo taken of the ‘Gendarme’ (so called as they resemble the old Gendarme uniform)
  in eastern France (Belley.)

  @Lyn Plant-Wells - try adding it to the signature strip at the bottom. A couple of people had the same problem with the profile option not long ago, and they found they could do it that way instead. 
  
  Glad you got the plant ID-d  too.

  It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
