Does anyone know what is causing this on my jade plant (money plant)?

Hi, can anyone tell me what is causing this issue with my jade plant?

I'm not sure if it is sunburn (it did used to sit on a very sunny window ledge) or some sort of fungal problem? They have developed a scaley, scabby crust on them. It's only happened to a few of the leaves but I think it might be spreading. Any advice on the cause and what to do about it much appreciated.

It could be sunburn. It looks like the stems above have been pruned off which might have exposed these leaves to more sun than they were used to. The plants can take full sun but they need to acclimatise to it. I get similar problems when the plant moves to the greenhouse for the summer and the leaves that were shaded from the windows in the house can burn on a hot day. It's not really a problem and the plant will either drop them or you can trim them off.
Another cause could be edema, which is when the plant is taking up water faster than it can transpire to back out and this can cause rupture of the leaf cells.
I'd give all those leaves a dust off with a damp cloth before the winter just to help them get more light.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
