Iris confusa Martyn Rix form

Does any one grow this? Not sure if I should be cutting it back like one does with other rhizomous Iris or if it should just be left alone. There are a lot of dying leaves at present which do need pulling off.

I've put the question to someone on Instagram who grows it.

...it's evergreen so I would only remove tatty leaves..

.. are you in a milder part of the country? as according to Martyn Rix and others, it's only hardy in the warmest parts, and is more a plant for warmer climates than ours... it is recommended to bring it indoors during coldest spells in winter, therefore best grown in a pot..

So far it has survived two outdoor winters here in North East Shropshire. I have taken a hostage though. One winter it did get cold enough to make one of our double glazed window units explode.
    Thanks.
