Slime Mould?

Spotted two piles of this in my garden yesterday, I thought maybe an animal had been sick. Today there are seven! After looking online I think it’s slime mould, and harmless? I seem to have lots of strange things growing this year!

Yes that looks like a slime mould. I think there’s one known as ‘Dog Vomit Slime Mould’ or something like that.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
