Hi, I grow carrots in containers. I pulled one today and there is evidence of carrot fly. Not a lot but some. I change the compost every year and steralize the containers so I'm not too worried from that angle. My question is what to do with the old compost? I usually put it in the mound we have built around the kids slide at the back of the garden and cover with bark. Will this be ok or will it likely cause reinfection?
