Moving a Fuchsia

We need to sort out our garden path which is all bricks and are getting a bit dodgy. We have a problem with a large Fuchsia, which unfortunately I planted far to close to the path when it was very small and we need to move it. Will a Fuchsia take moving this time of year, we intend to try and dig it out causing as little disturbance as possible, but I'd like to know what peoples opinions are on its chances of surviving?

4' high and its been there two years, its also still got flowers on it, not many. The leaves are starting to turn yellow, so it knows it's Autumn. I will take a photo tomorrow, but it will need to be moved.

Go for it Gwen,  get your hole prepared first,  take a big shovel full of soil and root and plonk it in. It won’t know it’s been moved. Tread the soil around it so it doesn’t rock. Water it in if you haven't had any rain.
I’m sure it will fine,  I move anything anytime it’s in the way.  I’ll be moving a fuchsia tomorrow.

Absolutely - just as @Lyn describes.
It'll only need consistent watering for a couple of weeks until there's enough regular rainfall, if you're in a drier area.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
