How to prune overgrown lavender

Hi, I am in need of help, I have several lavender plants which have become over grown and woody. I am after some advice on how to tidy them up.

    Hi @johnmilburn84 - unfortunately - they don't take kindly to being cut back hard, so it's probably better to start with new plants. They're best if trimmed back after flowering, just going into some of the fresh growth, not into brown wood.
    You can certainly cut them back and see if they come away, but if you're in a colder area, they might not thrive at all. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
