Heuchera Delta Dawn

Never seen a Heuchera do this before has anyone else experienced this with a Heuchera, variety is "Delta Dawn" although "Whoosh" may have been a better name.

    I'm not too sure what you're referring to @stevemhmX_RLt - do you mean the flower spike? 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Heucheras have flowered well this year.  I really got into them last year for their leaves so was a bit surprised when they flowered this year - although I knew heucheras did flower.  And the flowers last for ages.  They are excellent plants and yours is gorgeous, especially with that sedum.
    Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.

    Happy heuchera will flower like that. 

    Often the flower spikes are disproportionately larger than the plant itself.

    Yes the flower spike, most of my Heucheras flower but never like this.  If you look to the right there is a normal flower spike and then this sprouted up out of the blue!  not complaining though :)

    Oh - I see @stevemhmX_RLt. There are hundreds of varieties of Heuchera, Tiarellas and Heucherellas, , and I wasn't sure if that's what you were meaning  :)
    Some have huge flowering spikes, and some have very tiny, almost insignificant ones. 
    I've got a very plain green one, which would never catch your attention, but the flowers are white, and very large, and it's a great little plant. No idea what it is, as it was a seedling pulled out of a crack in the steps at work.  :)
    All are great for pollinators. Easy to propagate by division, or just pulling bits off too, and dividing often invigorates them too.
