Not to worry @PeatfreePete. We all had to learn at some point - and we've all made mistakes. Some of us still do.... As the others have said - just keep them ticking over and see what happens.
Are you thinking of a ' Jaws/we're going to need a bigger boat' scenario re the conservatory?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I think you've done well to get them so far, but you're right, the sun is just way too weak at this time of year and there's still about 2.5 months to go before sunlight is strong enough to grow healthy plants. I'd agree with Fg about pinching out the top growth which will make them bushier, but tbh I don't think they're ever going to be good sturdy plants. I'd sow some more seed toward the end of Feb to March and they'll be flowering by summer

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Thanks for the comments, I will pinch out the tops as advised. I will sow more in February. This is a good learning experience for me , I have learned to pay more attention to GW when listening WHEN to sow seeds !
We've all been there Pete. When I got my first proper greenhouse I went mad sowing in Jan/Feb in heated propagators. Then I had to pot all the seedling up and there was no space to keep them all warm - then we had some harsh frosts and I lost many of them. In subsequent years I realised there is no need to sow so early as later sowings produce much healthier plants that soon outgrow the weedy ones I sowed too early. We live and learn Happy New Year
