These bird scarers look fun... like Christmas decorations... with various degrees of success...

Our cherries flower very well in the Spring and then we get cold spells and frosts so few pollinators.
The fruit that does set is taken by the birds whilst it is still green.
The only one that we can harvest is the Morello. The birds don't like cooking cherries!
Same here!  It took ten years before I noticed some cherries on our front garden cherry tree, and sure enough there was a pigeon in the branches devouring what little I could see

I have another cherry tree but I have no idea what kind or sex it is as it was a random gift, guerrilla gardened by my Mum when I wasn’t looking many years ago.  I’ve seen the blossom but no fruit yet either.

Bit like my snails really,  🐌   although they're definitely not unfruitful at the moment.

So the lil cherry trees (Stella, Summer Sun, Sweetheart) are in. We took the recommended 1m of grass and weeds away to avoid competing roots, now wondering whether we should put some bark or stones around the stems? It's just they look a little forlorn at the mo...!

Bark will be ideal - the smaller stuff is best  :)
If you fancy them - you could stick some crocus, or similar, in there too, for a bit of spring colour.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
