Bottle brush plants

I experimented  and. managed to grow over 20 small bottle brush plants from seed this year.   They seem to be ready for potting on ( with roots growing through bottom of the pots ) .    Do I pot them on  now?  ( end sept )  or leave them till next spring ?   And should I prune off the lengthy  tips yet ??    Thanks in advance

  • If the roots are showing, I'd say you have time to pot on.  Don't over pot tho or you could risk cold, claggy compost over the colder period.
My preference would be not to prune the tips yet - they are trees rather than shrubs as such - they are still very young and you need to have some height before you start pruning to enable you to get a decent shape eventually.
However, others may have a different opinion so I would suggest that if you could post a pic or 2, that may help further :)
