Thanks, @Topbird . I have a pile up of tree cuttings in a corner under my tree. I have some sheets in the garage. I will cover it up and hopefully I will have compost I can use next spring. Yay!
@Jac19 - do you mean tree cuttings (ie prunings) or tree shreddings /chippings.
We're talking about shredded (chipped) tree material here. If you have cuttings (ie pruned material) which has not been through a shredder it will take years to break down and is not suitable for mulching or composting unless it's essentially fine twigs.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Leaves, mowed grass, clipped branches up to about a foot long ... cat poo from the neighbour's cat with soil thrown on it. That's that I have got on the pile @Topbird .
After all that wonderful information I've just found out the tree guys aren't coming until the 27th OCTOBER ... not today!! Not sure how that mistake happened as I wrote the date down whilst on the phone to them, turns out the lady who was writing the diary has left so they can't check with her .... oh well, gives me another 4 weeks of leaf gathering for my mould bags, won't have to worry about too many green one's in the shredding bag ....
