Or perhaps in the case of the OP, to a garden forum? 😉
I don't like to say I told you so, but.....

Or in the case of the OP, to a gardening forum perhaps?

Sorry all, I can't get the hang of this quoting and editing, but hopefully you get the gist?

    The troll feeds squirrels?
No, the troll is fed! Pages and pages of energy rich fodder!

Grey squirrels don't hibernate and are also lactose intolerant.

In winter they are far less active, sleeping for long periods, sometimes several days at a time.

Yeah, no yogurt toppings there.  I buy them from the local pet shop around the corner.

I can appreciate controlled gardens up to a point, but I wouldn't want one. The laissez faire approach is probably more wildlife -friendly. Apart from plants, I don't have an awful lot of the pretty  things but my garden has plenty of wildlife - too much sometimes😒

I will back off at this point. I don't think Jac gets the teasing - and Jac, if it makes you happy to feed nuts and seeds to squirrels, you go right ahead - lots of people feed squirrels - you don't need permission from us lot.

I don't want to get into bullying territory (too late, perhaps).

Jac - if you have questions about gardens and gardening, you are very welcome to ask - the forum has some very experienced gardeners who've been at it for a lifetime. As a new arrival, questions are always welcomed - no matter how foolish they may seem.

I'm sorry if you having a hard time and wish you well with your garden.

Apart from spreading fatal Squirrel pox to red squirrels (the greys are immune)?

Apart from causing the deaths of a large proportion of British song birds be eating eggs and nestlings?

Apart from the damage done to ancient deciduous woodland by stripping bark which kills the trees?

Apart from the above and other havoc they cause, there’s the damage they cause to fruit and vegetable crops.

They are a serious pest in the UK.

Fair enough.  I obviously understand grey squirrels are an invasive pest here. I suppose in their native regions they are fine
