What are these brassicas?

I got seven brassica seedlings from a plant swap - and just put them in my plot in the spring. This is them now (21 Sept 21). I think they might be curly kale - since the middle is now getting a bit frilly. Please suggest what you think (they are 3 -4 ft tall now).

    ^^ what she said, Curly kale is always curly and they just don't remind me of kale to be honest.

    Thank you - could well be purple sprouting broccoli. When will the tell-tale flower stems appear: I guess they might be autumn/winer or even spring.
