I was given a plant from someone else's garden last year and now see it came with free extras. These strappy leaved plants have popped up all around the area. Are they bluebells? If so, will I ever get rid of them?
Not Bluebells . Could be Day Lillies . Spread like mad when happy. If it is a decent one, pot 1 up and grow on. Otherwise get rid and ensure you get even the smallest ones out.

Ah, thanks very much. That's great to know. I haven't planted any lilies because they are so toxic for cats so I have an extra reason to start ripping them out. I will pot up one though to see what I get.

I know lots of folk who have cats and daylilies and neither have come to any harm
All lilies are toxic to cats in theory, but in practice they know it and they stay away from it. When the pollen's out is when they suffer.
My neighbours two cats who visit stay away from my lilie pots and head straight to the catnips and salvias. There is something medicinal about catnips and salvias to them that they feel.
I have never known day lilies to seed themselves but agapanthus seed all round the parent plant so, yes, if there was an agapanthus in that area, they could well be youngsters.
