Dying Peony?

My newly planted Peony has only shown one Flower. I live where the Drainage is poor and now it looks like it could be dying . I actually avoid watering my Garden because of the moisture it retains.

    It's possible that it's just dying back normally, they start to do that at this time of year.
    Is there any chance of a photo please ?

    They do need good drainage to thrive, but, as @AnniD says - at this time of year they're becoming dormant anyway, so it may just be that. 
    If it's only had one flower this year, it could also be that it's a very young plant. They take several years to reach maturity  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
