For me - the big problem arises when someone wants an ID because they need to know about the care of a plant - pruning, taking cuttings, aspect required etc.
If the ID is wrong, it can mean a lot of disappointment
There's a simple way around that. When the app thinks it's ID'd a plant I always double-check with a quick google search. It does sometimes get things wrong, but it's easy to spot when that happens and that doesn't detract from its usefulness, at least for me.
