In the right conditions, you can apprehend dozens of the little beggars ;)
Do you read them their rights, Biglad?

reporting back about state of pansies and violas. They are surviving among the slugs and snails in garden.

Snails are very keen on hellebores though.

  • My garden has rampant nasturtiums self seeded from some I sowed about 7 years ago. They are never touched by the slug or snail population or anything else that I can see. Their original colour was a deep red but they've now reverted to orange and yellow. they twine around everything going through shrubs and up climbers. They're lovely this time of the year and the flowers are never chewed and their leaves are always intact. I was told they would encourage black fly but they remain pristine and cheerful. Now my pansies and slugs are another matter entirely.
