    @Hostafan1. Did you manage to keep any going.  Maybe you’re a bit warmer there and sheltered.
    I lost all of mine this winter, I usually only manage to keep one or two going and they self seed, but none now, won’t bother again.
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor. 

  • I’ve had them in flower for past 3 years up here in Manchester and loads of self setters collected to overwinter. Secret seems to plant them out in different locations until you get used to where they prefer to grow. Also plenty to give away to friends and family.

    Thanks @Igrowfromseed I'm jealous of all those plants! Good to hear you have success. So you leave the old plant to die and just grow on the seedlings? 
  • They are often call a triannual so grow on seedling this year and overwinter under cover (in my region). Then plant outside in spring and keep fingers crossed it Overwinters to flower in its third year. Yes all my plants die after flowering.
