Looks like a lettuce - anyone know what this is?

I have a plant growing in 3 places in my garden. It looks almost like a large lettuce. Any idea what it is?

  • The top one looks like a foxglove, but I might be wrong. The photos are quite blurry.
  • Not a lettuce.
    Mullein/verbsacum?

Not really a clear enough pic … but possibly a Verbascum, or maybe Nicotiana sylvestris perhaps?  A self seeded one from last year maybe. They pop up in my garden in late summer.

Looks like tobacco plant seedlings. Lots in my garden.

Probably Mullein,  if you leave it it will shoot up a 6 - 7ft flower spike next year. I love them.
