Cauliflower question

Hi all, I was given some cauliflower seedlings at the beginning of June, which I planted in the allotment. They seem to be growing well, but there is no sign of any heads yet. I understand that different varieties are ready to harvest at different times, however I don’t know which variety I was given! Does anyone know if I’m likely to get any heads now, or is it best to get rid? Many thanks

They might be a winter cropping variety like these:

If so, they produce heads next spring. If they look healthy, I'd hang-on.

Make sure they’re well firmed in.

Thank you Dovefromabove. Was checking how firmed in they are today and found some that had started to form heads, but they looked very dry and sickly. I guess that means they aren’t a next spring variety!
