Is it too late to sow biennial wallflower seeds?
For various reasons, I didn't get around to sowing wallflowers earlier this year which I meant to. Last year's supplier of the gorgeous Fire King aren't stocking them this year, and no other colour seems to fit the bill. I've found a couple of suppliers of this particular colour but it seems a bit steep to pay <£1 per plug plant!
My question is, would it be too late to sow now? I assume they would just flower a little later next year?
Last year I had wallflower Fire King field-grown plants which were delivered (and planted out) in November so by my reckoning I'll just about be OK?

I would go for buying bare rooted ones again this year and sowing the seeds late Spring next year
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Fairygirl no I agree, just that last year I paid £20 for 60 bare-root plants from Woolmans! I shouldn't be such a scrooge
