blueish plant fast growing id

This has shot up this year in my neighbour's garden and she asked if she should get rid of it as it grown so quickly. I don't know what it is so not sure how to advise her

    Looks like a type of spurge — might be Euphorbia characias subsp wulfenii.

    They self seed and get quite large. Your neighbour might want to take it out. The sap is an irritant so care needs to be taken around broken leaves/cut stems.

    A Euphorbia, yes.
    Use gloves if cutting it back and/or taking it out. Or move the other plants nearby instead  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
