    It has been very challenging this year...and yet don't think it has been a wake up call for the majority. 
    Some people are excellent at paying lip service to the imminent dangers of climate change until it doesn't serve their purposes; the Australian pm and the voluble Bojo spring to mind.

    Thanks all. Naive q I know but why is central heating so bad for plants that enjoy a warmer climate?

    Plants like olives need a full sun spectrum of light. Central heating is very drying.

    There a few older threads on the forum discussing indoor olives. You can have a search. This website suggests it can be done.
