Freshen it up with a handful of fertiliser, and use in in pots to fill with spring bulbs. Lidl have got some crackers in at the moment.
  • Excellent - I have bought 8 bags of their combo packs !

If your growbags haven't been disturbed too much, leaving their contents still fairly tightly compressed, you can gently slit their tops end to end and overturn the firm compost on top of the soil.  Often, the bags are produced with a mix of nutrition in them, only some of which will have been used by the previous crop, and they're still ideal for a second crop that uses something different.

Some years back I was given a load of discarded bags from a strawberry farm, still firmly preserved, so I did the above.  Not only did the contents inhibit weed growth, but the compost was ideal for pressing my onion sets in and I had a fantastic crop.  Presumably strawberries and onions use different feed.

  • We add chicken pellets and re use. I always shop in Lidl, didn't go yesterday, you better had saved some bulbs for me!!
  • Ha ha I see they are releasing more this Sunday don’t worry
