You may have to just set to and dig it up
  • It can be done. When we moved here 25 years ago, the garden was nothing but creeping buttercup. I spent days digging it out, and it has never returned in all that time, so take heart.
  • I think I’ll do some division and digging over autumn and spring I don’t want to go anywhere near weed killers as I do things pretty organically! Thanks for the reply’s

Millions of 'em...as Uncle Albert would say. Back breaking work. But if you pull out the creeping roots, chances are the roots remain. So I'll treat them first, weaken them then pull them. That's the plan, just hope my back cooperates.

Fork where they root, and firm but gentle pull of the stolons..
