Pot grown sweet peppers

I have 4 beautiful, big, bushy sweet pepper plants in my greenhouse.  They have lots of flowers but are not setting much fruit.  do you have any idea why?  Is it too late to expect a crop this year?

  • If you are in the UK, you won't get a ripe crop at this stage.  If you have some fruit forming but it is still tiny, it doesn't sound good.
Sown in late Feb I had a huge crop of Palermo peppers this year in my GH - I managed to get 4 ripe ones and I am in coastal Somerset.
As the promised heatwave hasn't materialised, I bit the bullet and banished the remainder to the freezer.  I got a bit fed up with their sneering green faces  :D
As I'll make use them all over the next 6 months, it wasn't that much of a disaster - just a bit peeving.
  • Could you take them somewhere indoors in a sunny spot?
  • I'm in Cornwall so I'll give them a bit longer.  You never know, a heatwave may still materialize!
I've no room indoors - too many houseplants!
  • We're experiencing a heatwave! 29,c today. Mine are in a side green house, doesn't get much sun,it's a little lean to. I picked my first yellow,2 weeks ago, quite a few are now red.
