quick question about autumn feeding
in Plants
I was idly thinking that a couple of my plants which were a bit under par this year could do with a bit of a root boost, and wondered if an autumn lawn feed, with its high Phosphorus content, might be suitable. Has anyone tried this, or is there a reason this might not be suitable? Thanks

Always a mistake to feed an ailing plant, especially at this time of year when they're getting ready for dormancy.
Depends on the plant of course, but spring is the time to feed, when they're coming back into growth.
Best solution just now is to add a mulch of compost or similar. Feeding the soil will benefit them, regardless of what they are
