What are these on the wisteria? [SOLVED]

edited September 2021 in Plants
Can anyone tell me what these are? We moved to this home (rental property) about 4 years ago and it’s never blossomed. This year, these things appear but just on the one vine. What are they?

Hello @horne.jasminemtb-BHfXvf and welcome to the forum 😊

Think that’s  a Campsis radicans vine aka Trumpet vine … those are flower buds.

Thank you so much Hostafan1 and Dovefromabove…you’re right… it is a trumpet vine…the link you gave matches what we’ve got. Thank you! ✨🧡💜
  • A pleasure to help Jasmine … we used to grow it so I know it fairly well. 😊

  • Is it ok if I mention your alias in a blog I’m working on? I’m currently juggling a 4 month old whilst getting my 4 year old out to school for the first time so I’m a bit slow with completing the posts but it’ll be nice to give you the credit for identifying the trumpet vine. If it’s ok, I can give you the details of the blog when I’m finished.

    Let me know.

It’s absolutely fine if not…I won’t take offence.

    kind regards,
    Jasmine.
  • Absolutely fine @horne.jasminemtb-BHfXvf .... I'm happy for my alias to be 'out there' ... however I prefer to keep my real name of Eustacia Flybynight-Stripwillow out of the public eye ... don't want my fans to flock to the gates of my mansion and obstruct the peace 🤣

I'd love to have details of your blog too ... when you get around to it ... there was a similar age gap between my daughter @WonkyWomble and her big brother .... I remember that stage well even tho' it seems Light Years away. Best of luck 👍

  • Lol 😂 @Dovefromabove…I mean Ms Flybynight-Stripwillow! Thank you for your permission.

You’ve been in the same boat so you understand the struggle!

    Will keep you posted! ✨

Eustacia!  I'm shocked that you would reveal your real name on an open forum! But to me you will always be @Dovefromabove. (And if you tell anyone - I mean anyone! - that I am really Felicity Flipper-de-fidget of Flixton I'll never speak to you again!).
