    All our cauliflowers went to the caterpillars.  There they were, plumping up quite nicely then the next time I looked - stripped bare, covered in caterpillars and with brown manky curds.  Should have netted them but never got around to it.  Ah well. Next time.

  • @barry island your info appeared to be right, market gardeners are classed as professionals so could use it meanwhile home gardeners cant. Charles dowding covers both areas, i think neither he or you were wrong

    i prefer spinosad it kills all chewing and
    sucking insects is organic. it is considered so
     safe that a formulation of it is used to deal with
    head lice in kids.
