I've never deadheaded any of mine! I never thought to do it as they always flower for months left untouched. I just leave them alone and trim them back in Spring.
It'll need dividing soon @Fred Mead, or you can taking cuttings. Heel cuttings are the best method. Most perennials need a bit of rejuvenating every so often.
