You knew there had to be a purpose for slugs didn’t you?

Well, now you know what it is 👍

    Cats
  • Did it rain after it was deposited? Sometimes more obvious animal deposits go a little like that with time and rain.

It's just sh*te. Probably cat as we said at the start.
Having the grass so long is particularly attractive to them.

Water scarecrow or one of the better ultrasonic deterrents is the answer.

Unless you don't have much of a sense of smell I'd be surprised if you couldn't tell it was a cats offering. I don't have a great sense of smell but can detect a cat turd from quite so distance because it's the most noxious substance known to man.

Yep, I've had dogs all my life and one was very good at finding it and using it as a perfume.

Perhaps cats isn't the foulest substance but round here with the abundance of cats we have its certainly so plentiful to be a far bigger problem.

Whatever it was left that ... I'm worried about its diet ... that is not the poo of a healthy cat that is being properly fed.

I never find fox poo smells at all, even fresh. But here it's always small, black and dry - no bother really. I think the diet must count a great deal towards smell. I think our London foxes are pretty much veggie - living on mostly chips. And they don't drink enough water.
