I've not done Portuguese laurel @Buch , but I think it's the same as cherry laurel, ie now and into autumn, with semi ripe cuttings. Have you done cuttings before?

I had great success with sowing seeds in seed trays and leaving them outside, under a hedge, all winter and all germinated. Tried cutting - they did not take at all.

I never see berries on my Portuguese Laurel, is it because I trim it at the start of summer?

Just do the same as you would for the other plants with your cuttings.
