Zinnia disappointment

    My zinnias did great this year.. but I live in a semi-arid desert in the middle of a multi-year drought.  😆 So I would hazard a guess and say they like it hot and dry, with a good soak every morning.  
    Right plant right place was never more appropriate  ;)

    Not just that, but timing. That's even more important - with any plant, not just these.
    You can give plants everything they need in terms of soil type, aspect and care, but without the light and suitable temps - particularly ground temps for certain plants - it's unlikely to be totally successful. That's always the challenge. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Also grew the free seeds.planted out about 6 inches tall,in my south facing front garden,which has rubbish soil,very shallow and stoney. Maybe watered once and doing fine (along with the cosmos I grew)
