More info would be useful e.g. which varieties, how old are they, have they been pruned?

There is the possibility that they have gone into biennial bearing if they are mature trees. This can happen after a year when they carried too much fruit and they basically take a year off every other year.

Are they young trees or established? If you have had fruit before then it could just be the cold snap but if they are young they might just be too young or aren't self fertile and need other trees to cross pollinate.
  • They are about 5 years old, and yes they have had fruit before. Thank you for your comment.
