buddleia davidii

My 20 year old purple buddleia davidii has suddenly produced a flower that is partly purple but mostly very pale pink. Is this common? What could cause this to happen? What can I do to stop it spreading to the rest of the plant?
I am new to this and have a photo but couldn't work out how to import it to this message. The browse button doesn't open. I am using an Android tablet. Can anyone instruct me how to do this?

Hi @stepen - If you click on the little icon that looks like hills, that's for uploading pix. If you can keep them around 1MB they upload better.  :)
Re your buddleia though - sometimes plants revert a bit, so it may be that simple. It won't really be a problem as such, but you can just remove the flowers if you don't like them.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
