Maybe it’s the area I live in but I think it’s been a good year for growing, I always sow later than stated because of our weather, I’ve only just started picking runners and French beans but the plants are good, sowed a bit later, mid May instead of the beginning planted out mid June because of the cold snap. Every year people complain about the weather but you have to plan your plants around what the weather gives, so many people start too early, a cold snap will destroy them, Just. because we have a nice early Spring doesn’t mean that’s a sign to start sowing.
My peppers are never outside or in the GH, they’re in the conservatory. Not a lot grows well outside here, cold windy and high altitudes against us. Best for us, onions, leeks, parsnips. tomatoes in the GH, just froze 6 kg raspberries, probably more of rhubarb.
