Is it in a suitable site with adequate conditions?
What type is it? If it was a small plant when you got it, it'll have taken a while to establish, so flowering won't have happened right away.
Bearing in mind it's still August, I wouldn't expect it to be showing signs of flowering.

I think that one prefers neutral to acidic soil. Not all the winter ones do though, and many Ericas are perfectly happy in alkaline soil.
It's also a later flowering one - end of the year. Some are earlier, so your other one may simply be one of those.
If you're growing in a container, you can certainly amend the soil, but you can't do that if it's in the ground.
They all like quite poor soil too, so don't be tempted to feed it. A nice sunny site for it  :)

Good luck with them - they can be very useful plants for winter time when colour can be thin on the ground. Most people tend to think of the summer ones only for their gardens.   :)
If you keep them potted, you'll need to make sure you refresh the soil each year too, and re pot every so often - especially if it grows well and needs a bigger one.  Just take an inch or so from the top layer and replace with new stuff. That will keep it happy. They're best in the ground though.
