Late lavenders

I don't know if this is the right place for this comment but Monty Don ( whom I esteem greatly) made an uncharacteristic error on last night's Gardeners' World when he claimed that the lavender season is long past.  I have a very old tall white lavender which still has flower spikes in bud, and there are bees around the flowers.  It's not finished yet. And I have a mauve lavender which has only just finished.  Other gardeners must have late lavenders?

    Mine are still flowering too, but the season always starts later here and can last longer if the plants can cope with cool, wet and windy :)
