Granular Rose Food - old, but is it still OK to use?

Somebody has given me an unopened box of Woolworths Granular Rose Food.  I think Woolworths shops closed circa 2009 so it's obviously old and I wondered whether it would still be OK to use the granules on my roses.  If not, what about adding to the compost heap over time?  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Fertiliser keeps a long time if stored in a cool dry place so it could still be OK.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I don't know how viable it would be, but personally l would use it  :)
  • Like @AnniD I'd use it particularly as it hasn't been opened- it certainly won't do any harm.
Use By and Best Before dates are  a common cause of waste whether it be food or fertiliser :)
