Sunflower

1 sunflower stalk 10 buds have opened just 5 more still in bud is this normal??

    Yes - many are multi headed   :)

  • I envy you! I posted recently about my sunflower and it will not for the life of it open, it does it’s thing following the sun but seems very shy. 🌻(no idea why the photos has uploaded sideways)

    That looks ready to open any time now @PrettyFlyForACacti 
    Keep it well watered, especially as it seems to be in the rain shadow of the  house   :)

  • I envy you! I posted recently about my sunflower and it will not for the life of it open, it does it’s thing following the sun but seems very shy. 🌻(no idea why the photos has uploaded sideways)
    Turn you camera sideways it worked for me lol

    Maybe try feeding it with liquid solution. This can sometimes kick the buds into opening, it seems.

    I've got some babybio and a tomato feed which I occasionally feed it with

    They really just need water at that stage.
    Baby Bio really isn't suited to outdoor plants. 
    When photos are too big, they load sideways. If you can make them smaller it helps  :)
