Sorry @Palustris this might be obvious but what does it mean sucker everywhere? Like an ash tree - there’s be babies everywhere?
Ash trees produce seeds..called keys..these germinate and grow into baby Ash trees.
Suckers are produced from the Clerodendrum roots..... they send up a stem with leaves which can grow into a new tree. Cherries and plums and some other plants tend to do it as well.
Sumac trees are bad for this. On my street a sumac is sending up shoots into the asphalt in the road, growing under the pavement. It's a very pretty and dramatic tree, but a royal PITA.
