Problem solving

We have large conifers ( house height size) would like to pull them in as snow has not helped.
any suggestions please on how to do this.   They’re over 40yrs old.

    What variety are they?

    It sounds like a profeesional job.  Get a quote from a few well-insured tree surgeons.

    Are you  in the UK @marsha_lishman? Snow certainly causes some problems, for any evergreens,  but most conifers can shrug it off. 
    More info needed in order to help you   :)

    marsha_lishman  'Pull them in' isn't a phrase I know.  More details?

    I had some smaller conifers that were distorted due to snow some years ago.
    They were only about 10-12ft though.
    I used some tough climbers twine around the main stem and used that to pull in the errant branches.
    I did work, but that was on a much smaller tree than yours.
    I never removed the twine, but did have the conifers removed completely a few years later

    PS - the other thing worth mentioning is that if you leave it too long, the distorted branches become 'fixed' in their position and it is much more difficult to pull them back in

    It's as @Pete.8  describes, but we need input from @marsha_lishman. :)
    It's a standard practice for lots of types of conifer or cypress [mainly the Italian ones] to help them retain their pencil/columnar shape, but when they're that sort of age and size, they'll probably be impossible to deal with in the usual way.
